Dr Baker is a highly experienced and compassionate dentist who provides comprehensive care across all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. He graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Baghdad and went on to complete a year as a House Surgeon in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He then trained alongside specialists in all disciplines of dentistry, developing a broad and solid clinical foundation.

In 2005, Dr Baker began teaching Oral Surgery and Head & Neck Anatomy at the dental school, a role that deepened his interest in mentoring and education.

After relocating to New Zealand, Dr Baker worked in over 40 dental clinics across Auckland, gaining diverse experience before completing the New Zealand Dental Registration Examination (NZDREX) in 2009.

Dedicated to ongoing education, Dr Baker has continued to build on his qualifications:

• 2013 – Completed licensing in Intra-Venous (IV) Sedation and joined the New Zealand Society for Sedation and Anaesthesia in Dentistry
• 2014 – Completed a 100-hour postgraduate program in general dentistry (Lumino GO), focusing on restorative and aesthetic dentistry
• 2017 – Gained Membership in General Dental Practice with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS)

Dr Baker has also been committed to teaching the next generation of dentists. He has mentored graduate dentists since 2012 and was a clinical mentor for the New Zealand Dental Association from 2017 to 2021.

Dr Baker enjoys all areas of general dentistry, with particular expertise in:

He also has a keen interest in natural health, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine, which complements his holistic approach to dental care. Outside of the clinic, he dedicates time to continuous study, research, and personal development.
